This verb can take a direct object:

If the subject is escaping from a location, that location is marked with -vo' and is not the direct object:

ghe'torvo' narghDI' qa'pu'

"when spirits escape from Gre'thor"

To indicate that you're doing it on purpose, you could say nargh lochwIj 'e' vIchaw' "I'm letting my mustache grow" or something similar.
