Compound nouns are made by putting two or three nouns together in a row.
For example, jolpa' transport room is made from jol transport beam and pa' room.
Some compound nouns are made of parts that are unknown nouns. With nouns like this, you cannot split the compound and assume the meaning of the parts from the whole.
For example, jolvoy' transporter ionizer unit seems to be made of the parts jol transport beam and voy' an unknown noun. We cannot assume that voy' means ionizer unit in general.
