Can be used to mean "currently" in situations where English speakers might say "The current temperature is ..."
Many situations with the word "current" can be reworded to use "currently".
However, in situations where "current" means isn't used to mean "currently" use ghen "be operative, in effect, valid" (along with DaH when appropriate). So you could say DaH mI' ghen Sovbe'lu' "now (currently), the valid number is unknown" for "the current number is unknown".
ghen is also used in situations where you might say "My passport is current" ghen leng chaw'wIj.
