If your shirt got snagged by a nail and

now has a rip (a hole that, if big

enough, you can stick your finger

through) in it, that can be a rulvaH.

But if you rip your shirt to threads so

there are pieces of fabric dangling

(there’s not a hole surrounded by

otherwise intact fabric), rulvaH would

probably not apply.

Do you mean the kind of bread they

serve during breakfast at the hostel?

If you poke a hole all the way through

it, that’s a rulvaH. If you break it in

half, there’s no rulvaH. And if you

break it open so there are two halves

sort of hinged together, there’s no

rulvaH.
